Announcing $5 Atnia Card Game Tournament
Taking place from Friday October 2nd - Thursday October 8th.
This is going to be a round robin bo1 tournament played on Cockatrice where you schedule your own matches vs your opponents. The goal is to get more testing done for the set 1 card pool, which is likely rather unbalanced at the moment. The hope is that by running a few of these events I’ll be able to work through balancing the cards a lot faster.
If multiple people are tied for best record at the end we will run a single elim bracket to determine the winner of the massive $5 grand prize. If there’s an odd number of people we’ll just use mtg tiebreakers to determine who gets the bye.
Your deck must be 60 cards, with a limit of 3x per cardname, except for Core locations (which are effectively basics/duals). Submit your decklist by Friday October 2nd. There will be no sideboarding, however, the sideboard feature on cockatrice is useful for storing the Wilderness locations relevant to your deck for easy access, any tokens you may need, and the ‘Offensive Area’ ‘Defensive area’ and ‘Safe Area’ tokens for organizing your board on Cockatrice.

Some of the built in mtg card filters on cubecobra work for the Atnia cards:
- Mana Value
- Type (creature/artifact/instant/land)
- Card Name
- Additionally, use “notes:” instead of “oracle:” to search card text, and use for example “tag:arca” to find all Arca cards instead of using “color:xyz”.
- By using the squares in the top left you can swap between table view and visual spoiler.
Here is the Cockatrice setup info. The easiest way to deckbuild is to have Cockatrice on one side of your screen for construction and the Cubecobra page on another for searching.
It is strongly recommended that you play some test games before the event both to ensure you understand the game rules and to get any card specific rulings/syntax fixes out of the way before the round robin begins.
